I read that whole build process on that 08 z06 there. Sounds like you guys went through a ton of work to get that thing where it was. Than the guy sold the car less than a month later... what the hell? Some people either have way too much money or what was his problem? How does that make the shop feel, go through all that work and than the guy sells the car a month later...

He is a med student, and thinking about the car and what he wanted to do next with it had become an obsession for him to the point it was going to interfere with his career, so he sold it. Bob

Hey Fredrik, not yet - a project like this takes way longer than you would ever imagine.

My three day quote to prep / paint my hood is going on four weeks. same thing from the suppliers to Cartek for the FD2. Max is supposed to be shipping it today, so hopefully we can get back to the dyno next week.

Here are some new pics with the HRE 891R's freshly installed. The Flip Drive is going on today - may hit the dyno tomorrow if all goes well.

Huge congratlations to Dallas Performance in landing me in the 1,000 HP club. Taylor wrapped up the tuning on my forged 427, ETP LS7 top end, 10-rib, Flip Drive enabled, 12 month project yesterday. The reults were 1,002 rwhp / 928rwtq on loaded dyno, SAE corrected with 93 octane plus a healthy dose of methanol injection on a safe street tune with every day driveability. You can literally take your foot off the gas pedal at idle speed in first gear without bucking.

I created a quick chart +/- five hp/tq to compare these results to my previous setup that had unported 243 heads and a LS2 intake, which made 853whp / 743wt. Almost 200lb-ft under the curve. It is going to be like having a new car.

Dallas Performance wrapped up the project on Friday. The EPP hood is on the car and it looks awsome. Couldn't be happier with my choice.

It is a little harder to sandbag with a raised hood, but the lope from the blower cam and whistle of the F1R are a dead give away. I will try to post some sound clips next week.
