Default Rule 3700 IC pump flow test.

Rule 3700 flow test. PSI kills the output of these pumps. Easy way to install an IC pump though.....

What do you expect for what they cost

Seen some pretty damn fast cars with those in the tank so they work I guess, how much flow you actually need would be the question..

A L O T of folks use them. The 2000 is very common and is much smaller.

Proof for me will be if it can keep the IC cool enough to start a run around 45F and end around 75-80F.

"IF" I can get all this junk hidden in the car.....

Go to the intank pump (with the built in sump). Phil (I think it was anyway) did a test and it flowed WAY more than the same rated GPH pump that had an inlet fitting.

Was that pump mounted inline or intank? If inline, move it intank and test and get back to me. You'll be very surprised. That pump will not work inline. Mine will shoot a 1.5" Jet blast of water 7'. It will drain a 30 gallon chest of water in 30 seconds mounted in the tank while outside takes considerably longer.

It's mounted at the bottom of a 6 gallon tank. It's the "bilge" model 3700 with the bottom basket inlet. It will also shoot a 1.5 inch stream 7-8ft out of the tank without a hose connected to it. I was going to measure open flow...but it's just too much flow to measure it accuately with what I'm using. When you add hose, IC core, etc....it still does a good job....but it flows what it flows...I did each test 5 times for accuracy.

I tested mine through the intercooler core, Did the pump have a hose feeding it or was it mounted intank?

Mounted in the bottom of a 6 gallon tank with 5 gallons of H20 in it.

Keep in mind...big difference between 13v and 16v. These pumps are very voltage and psi sensitive.

I could send my pump for testing if interested, I still have a little down time right now. Meziere WP 136S. It has worked great for me so far, being mounted all the way in the hatch, and the IC is in the nose, and goes through a large heat exchanger too.
I would be curious to see the results of this little 136, I know the 336 would be better.

This is supposed to be the gold standard.

Meziere WP 136S

Standard motor provides 20 gallons per minute free flow rating

6-7 amps

Rule 3700 pulls 20amps at 13.6v for comparison.

my question is you guys who are submerging the pumps in the water tanks. how do you have the outlet routed to the inside of the tank? I have a aluminum 5 gallon tank with outlets welded on at the bottom.

Just dont overbuild based on that pump's high pressure flow, it doesnt need to move a lot of ice water to keep the temp down if its a good cooler.

Good point. I'm using twin 1000hp Garrett cores....we'll see.

Do you have any AIT data without meth? The 3700 water return in the tank "looks" very similar to the vid link Phil posted...his pump is similar to the 3700, but will flow more at 16v.
