How hard was it to make it so the radiator stands up straight? whould that work with a stock radiator or would it be to tall? Awsome power though. it`s nice to see more and more ls1s breaking that 750rwhp mark. Can`t wait to see 1000rwhp from a ls1.

I would think that maybe his new radiator is not as tall as stock?

So more power, less torque. Big turbos = slower spool = less torque ??

That's pretty cool to drop 3psi and gain 110rwhp though, much more efficient setup than the old one.

PS - A guy from MasterCard PM'd me asking if I knew how he could get in touch with you, something about an overdue credit card bill or something. I gave him your cell number.

LOL, which one??

The setup is a bit more efficient, but i need to spin it. We made a pull at 10 psi (lowest it will go) and the power graph was a straight line to 700 RWHP at 7k RPM. Never nosed over. But i'm either running out of pump or injector as we couldn't pull it past 6400 at 12 psi without going above 12.5:1 I got 96 lb/hr injectors and the BIG aeromotive pump. Might have something to do with my alternator not charging, but i'll investigate that later.

And yes, PSJ, the radiator is shorter. It was originally a stock replacement 2 core from a local rad shop. I cut the endtanks off, shortened it by 3 or 4 rows and made new tanks to center the rad in the opening.

Your car is rediculous!! Very impressed that you got it to fit. I was there and saw all of your runs and the thing makes a more power that you current set up is geared for. If you could have hooked up an got it moving it would have flew. I would put a glide with a 5000 stall and about a 3.30 gear. I know it was tough on you guy but we are glad you made the show for us.

Things will get better Matt, that's for sure. Thanks for making the trip to the shootout. You don't know how many people asked me Friday and Saturday - "Where's Harlan?" lol

Any ideas on why the alternator isn't charging?

Yeah, but with a glide it wouldn't be any fun on the highway

Congrats on the new setup - even though it still needs to be fully sorted out. May I ask how much for the complete "kit " shipped to 30319? The car certainly has changed since the Bowling Green event. Bring it down to the ATL, we'll find a track to test and tune at.

When it was on the dyno we had the battery charger going the whole time, so we never discovered the charging system problem till we started making passes
You wouldn't happen to be using the new DFI Gen7 System are you? If you have a 99+ car, then the red wire going to the Alternator is supposed to supply 4.75 - 5.00 volts. It is 12v on a 98 car. This wire comes from the pcm. Check the voltage of that wire going to the alternator. If it is at 12v then your alternator is fried...
