Anyone running on e85 and still using meth injection?

not sure if the gains are a big on e85 but a small shot at the turbo inlet would help cool the charge

I don't see how meth on top of e85 would help unless you're not running and IC at all. It's like running pump gas and injecting extra pump gas on top. Both fuels are near the same octane, are resistant to detonation, and have cooling properties. .02

well the idea came to be because i was running 93 octane with alky, and with the alky injection kit twin nozzle setup im was fueling some much that i could pull back a bunch of fuel through the injectors. injectors are now at 65% instead of 80%. i now have enough room to increase the injectors 30% and run e85. what do you guys think?

I asked a similar question last year, and the general consensus was that it wouldn't have much if any gains if you are already using E85.

Tuning that way makes you very reliable on your methanol kit. Also stoich for methanol is lower...so if you are pulling fuel through the injectors to get at the same a/f the motor is actually leaner then before.

yea well i told the alky control guy what i was doing and they gave me twin 14 gal nozzles. it bogs the motor. maybe i should raise it up to come in with more boost i guess. does that seem like a lot of alky to inject?

Yeah that is alot..it just depends on how you want to use it. I usually do single 15 or twin 10 nozzles in most cars. If it bogs it you should try bring it in slower or later(more boost). If it is coming in so much that it bogs the motor it could also puddle and .
