Default cam question (Help please)

well i know this has been asked time and time again. but i need to get something done in a hurry. the truck is deciding to chunk springs like once a week now.

I have a scsb truck with a compleetly built 5.3. 9.0:1 compression and stage two gtp heads. what cam recomendations would you have for probably 6300 rpms at the most. This is now going to be a turbo application.

Any help would be appreciated let me know if more info is needed.

How many lbs of boost?

What fuel system?

Turbo setups seem to peak pretty low, so I'm thinking 218/224//114 for a smaller cam.

it will see aprox 12 lbs. of boost but i will put it up to 20lbs when getting serious. as far as fuel. that is to be determined. only thing i have now is motor and it has been in the truck. but the cam has got to go. so i want to do it once like i planed to in the first place but that did not happen. also i recently decided on turbo over s/c due to speculation of some kits comming out in the near future.
Thanks i will prob try to order something tomorrow or mon at the latest.

this time instead of limping it home on the inner spring i had a toe bill of about 230$
thanks and let me here some more

since reving it only to 6300, id try a 226/222-116
if you want it more freindly id try a 222/218-116

reverse splits will work well with a turbo.

I've gotten some second hand Dutweiller opinions that traditional splits with roughly 6 more degrees on the exhaust side work very well. Add to that the opinion that a lower LSA, around 112, allows fresh (read: cooler) charge air into the cylinder, while not making the turbo work too much harder.

I was interested in the cam PSJ quoted, but on a 112 LSA.

FWIW, the turbo king of this site has a traditional split, I'm fairly sure (Harlan). Good enough for me.
