Default This ok for a rear mount?

I picked up my turbo today. I am hoping this is ok for a rear mount. I got a kit from a buddy of mine that he got from someone else and decided to go another direction with his car as he didnt know anything about turbos(neither do I, but I am learning). I can get pics tomorrow sometime its just to late at the moment. Now, I know this is small, but I have really small goals for the time being till I can save and do a forged bottom. Ok, the cold side housing is a .60 a/r, and the hot side is a .81 a/r. I was told its a 60mm turbo How do I find out exactly? It also came with a lot of piping that I still cant seem to piece together correctly, oil pump with resevoir(sp?), 42lb injectors, clamps, a front mount intercooler, autometer boost guage, bov and a wastegate, alot of vacuum lines installed already, couple of other things that I am not quite sure of either(looked like a relay and wiring). How do I tell what size bov, turbo, and wastegate I have? I will try to get some pics if I can wake up early enough. Please dont flame me I am new to this

If it's a 60mm turbo then it's too small.

y? I see 60mm sts kits on here all the time. I am wanting to keep it light until I save to do the bottom end.

A 60mm with a .81 hotside will spool quick and choke even quicker. Your power won't really go above a good heads/cam combo, but the delivery will be completely different. However, if you just want to get things installed, then swap to a better turbo down the road, I see no problem with that idea.

Ok, thanks for actually posting up some info I can actually use. I am only looking for about 450-475ish hp. When you talk about choking, you mean the boost falling off or what? Sorry, I am trying to learn here

My take is that not many are interested in helping someone put a 60mm turbon on an LSx. If yYou're already running in the 11's, it's doubtful you'll gain any power at all with that turbo.

even so, what about the questions I asked in the original post? I can always sell the turbo, not really an issue right now. I am fabbing up pipes and trying to figure out the questions asked earlier, regardless of the size of the turbo. Maybe I should go back and delete the size of it and I could actually get some help instead of comments on how small the turbo is. suppose I sell it and get another one, I am still in the same boat as I was to begin with

I am away at the moment and can't get pics right now. I know it wasn't a tial or anything. Is there someway I can identify what size they are that I am not aware of? Knowing what I got its probably a knock off brand

that turbo should be fine to get it going, but i would suggest set aside money and upgrade to any gt series garret turbo or a precision 76+mm turbo if your want to see any results.
