Arrow O2/Wideband location on Twin Turbo

Well, Im back trying to finish my Twin Turbo engine build. I was delayed do to divorice, buying a bar, and having a son.

My question, as you might have guessed, is about the O2/Wideband location. Does it matter, or is their a ideal location for these sensors???? Can I put them before or after the turbo? Does it matter??

OBTW- I will be using BS3, if it even matters.

Thanks - Ron

Widebands should be after the turbine housing in the downpipe. 18" behind the turbine is just about perfect.

The info above is good. If for some reason the location you install them in is horizontal to the ground you want to put the sensors between 3-9 o'clock. Between 2-10 would be even better but most of the time thats hard to do.

Agreed. as straight up and down as possible is best, to prevent contamination from condensation. Anywhere from 18" - 24 " after the turbine is within the ideal range. Wide bands should not be placed pre-turbine; they don't play well with the high temperatures and pressures.

What about the normal O2 sensors? Is it safe to put those pre-turbo or will they get burned up from the high EGTs too?

Narrow bands can go before of after the turbine; wide bands must be after the turbine.

This is a little off topic and I don't want to hijack this thread but what bank should the WB sensor sit on? I'm searched and haven't found anything to driver vs. passanger side. My thought is that how does the other bank get monitored if it doesn't have a sensor?
