I heard Tim has several of there rules in place because he didn't want the turbo guys walking into this class and cleaning house.
You should talk to the turbo guys at the track as well I know of one in particular and the reducers are not much resriction at all the way it's made, at least his aren't. Your right, I was thinking more along the lines of an 88mm like the precision billet piece or even their non billet one, not a honking 106.

I'm sure Tim did have those reasons since it's the same problem other classes had and now their on a short track to make it more competitive. Look at the rule Tim did for the F1R in L10.5, your limited to certain cogs and pulley sizes and wont allow gear drives cause prochargers could do a sweep in that class as well.

I agree with FANTAZ28 about the twin 60's!

Anyway, I look forward to see what you come up with bro, i'm sure it'll be killer and should be alot of fun and glad more guys are coming out to support the WCHRA...

What about some sneaky twins? Like some 72mms with a 60mm inlet? What is my best option there? I need to trap in the 160+ range at 3300-3400lbs!

Yes we could do that as well. Single would be easier to plumb, but twins would rock the show!!

Soooooo twin 60mm inlets will allow for more power than a single 76 inlet? I know twins would be a bitch but I'd hate to spend all the money to upgrade my single, and enter all the races and still not be able to somewhat compete. They handicapped this class BIG TIME for the turbo cars. I'd like to shove it down their throat and wax the nitrous cars next year

No clue. My car doesn't really ever see a dyno. Run 146mph (in 100+ degree heat!) and 3700lbs in a calculator and report back!

No dyno numbers (see my post above). TH400 trans, 3.25 gear, and 28x10.5s et drag. Yes, I leave on a trans brake. My 60' needs a lot of work. Should be in the 1.35 or better range.

Well if you did that and started smoking the nitrous cars they'd probably put more restrictions on you and then you'd have to change your setup again.

I was being overly optimistic I also doubt they'd change the rules mid-season.

haha you never know buddy, If you started wrecking shop on people they could be like you have to unhook all the spark plugs left side of your motor and add 1000lbs of weight.

Hey when do you think your car will be up and runnning again? I hella wanna see your car up closer. I only saw you go down the track a few times.

Its still running. I haven't tore it apart just yet! I might go out for one last night on Aug. 1st at Sac. Maybe grab a 9.20 if I can get it to leave and the air is nice!

Can you do me a favor and look into my best options for some twins with 60mm inlets. The class allows reducers so I can do some nasty 72s or something. Please let me know what brand and size twins will make the most power with a 60mm inlet. I only run 370 cubes and 9.1:1 compression.

Jose said the T6 GT88 would be the best single option with a 76mm inlet. I don't know much about that turbo but it didn't seem rated much higher than my ST80 with the race cover.
