I think I am gonna leave the 4.10's in for now. With the tall tires I think it will be ok. Next time I roll to town, your welcome to a ride again. I tried 1st gear the other day, just lights 'em up the boost comes on, 2nd gear same thing but 3rd seems to hook pretty good.

I was told 850-950fwhp, depending on the setup. I could see this turbo easily make me 700/750rwhp on 15psi. I will find out one day.

Thanks! Thats the exact reason I posted a detailed build was to inspire DYI folks they can do it and make really good power and have a ton of fun doing it. Once you ride in a turbo LS1, I promise you will be SOLD in every aspect.

tc78 will support 800rwhp on 17-20psi with meth. Depends on how you want the boost to come in. I would personally use a 88 if I was wanting to achieve 800rwhp+.

Used a 69.5" Belt, no tensioner. Pretty easy to get the belt on, just loosen the alternator and remove the upper bolt, slid the belt on and tighten everything up. Nice and tight, no squeak or belt jump, runs perfect.

It's routed very similiar to the stock setup, but with the alt relocated.

Nice build man. Just a quick question. After lookin at all these front mount build threads, how do you get the correct angles for the cross over pipe? How do you find out what peices need to be cut?

Very simple. All I did was take 1 2.5" U-bend and cut it right in the center. Then overlay the ends just a little to mark for the merge. Then cut down the lines and presto, they meet just fine for the merge. I angled the merge just a hair towards the engine.

Then take the T4 Flange and bend the lip of the merge with a pair of pliers until you get the desired shape to fit the T4 flange. Next just tack it together.

I did the same thing for the manifold to the merge, just cut another u-bend directly in half. You can angle them pretty good but will still need a little angle cutting to fit good. I used a jackstand and ziptied my merge to the jackstand so I could adjust the height to measuring and cutting for the manifold to flange pipe.

Also another tool that helps big time, is a harbor frieght 2" - 3" pipe expander for like $15. It's easy to use and allows to open the pipe up just a hair to slide another pipe into for a good solid weld.

When I get home, I will post some more pics of the progress when I was making the merge. Pictures speak alot for themselves.

alright man sounds good. I know I can do it when I start my build, I'm just wondering if there are easy ways to do it. Like getting the flange for the crossover set where you want it and the correct angle you want it setting at and getting the correct angles cominng off of the manifolds. Just to make it look good. I plan on doing an all stainless hotside and stainless can get expensive, so the less I mess up and the more I know, the better
