Lol, Thanks man! I'm pretty excited myslef!

I know it is a above ground Dynojet, usually reads lower than most. Only problem I am going to have is boost creep. He basically told me not to push it hard on the street until I re-do the location/pipe on the wastegate. Wategate could just be plain too small. No big deal, can fix that in a Jiffy when I get it back.

Was going to pick up today, but calling for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and don't want to take any chances, hell, it hasn't even seen rain since I have owned it, and it's rolling on hoosier qtp's which provide ZERO traction when wet.

When I took my car to SQR with the racetronix/hotwire kit it only made it to 600rwhp at 6k and it was running out of fuel bad up top.

NEW RESULTS!!!!

Good news and bad news.

Good news, Super safe tune, nice afr, 9.5psi boost.

560rwhp / 545rwtq!!!

I will be picking up tomarrow and finally get to drive it again, can't wait and probably won't get much sleep!

For the bad news.

9.5psi is max with the small wastegate spring to control boost creep, now holds a steady 9.5psi, but if I want to go more I need a different spring and also relocate/exdend the wastegate.

Would like to thank a few people and places.

Thanks to RPM for hooking me up and getting it tuned, Matt especially which has top notch customer service, always willing to answer question (stupid or good). Thanks to Rob @ Modular Turbo for hooking me up on my turbo. And finally thanks to the LS1Tech members and website for inspiring my build, answering questions and stepping me through my build.

Also thanks to Brooks (aka:Turbostang) (dfwstangs.net) for the help along the way!

I will be posting track times and more results as I get them! It obviously has far more potential with more boost, but I am very pleased for now!

Rock on!!!

Looks like your wastegate is in the middle of your merge pipe...did they say why that needed to be moved. I could see needing a bigger WG since your running lower boost. If you were running closer to 14psi, I bet you wouldn't have the boost creep issue....just thinking out loud.

Very nice numbers for the psi...makeing me think about gettingthe 76 instead of the 70.

UPDATE

All I have to say is "Hell yeah"!!

I picked it up this morning, went over a few things with Matt and took the keys. On the way home, temp never got above 190, even in stop and go traffic. Does not feel like it has more that a baby cam when cruising and almost feels stock.

For the one's that have never driven a turbo car, it is simply amazing! The driveablity over my N/A combo is 100% better. Throttle response on the SD tune is right on, revs nice and smooth. The "Whoosh" sound NEVER gets old, esp when under slight load to shift, purely ear sex! Once you experience a turbo car, I can almost guarantee you will be itching to boost it.

Now for the 100% WOT, LMFAO it is a beast!! I slowly rolled into it in 3rd gear at about 2500 rpm, turbo starts roaring and roaring louder and louder and then WAMMM I slamm the throttle @ 4K RPM it just plain rolls out hard!! It is VERY hard not to drive around without stomping on it, but self control is something I do decent with.

Also the above info is a little incorrect, most PSI it made was 9.1

I will also post some video's and more pics later today.

That is all! Back to cruising around!:scool:

Thanks! Well, where I messed up on was you never want to angle the pipe comming out of the merge for the wastegate in the opposite direction of flow.
For instance, if I angle my pipe upward just a little but and creat a j bend fromt their it will be just fine with my wastegate. For now tho, I am going to enjoy the power it makes, it's insane!

Thanks bud! I am just glad the time I spent making this kit actually worked. Even my IAT using mild steel pipe for the intake charge was very cool and not much different than aluminum degree's temp's.

Good luck on yours man!

Majority of the problem is still my wastegate piping location/angle.

Other problem was the JGS wastegate spring that came with it was approx 12psi spring. They ended up installing a VERY light 2-4lb spring to control the wastegate better. I am also using a very nice turbonetics boost controller set at 9psi. Gets full boost by 2300rpm.

But honestly I am having so much fun with the 9psi setting and don't think I will change a thing for now. I want to try and make the LQ4 last as long as I can, atleast until I get my forged shortblock together.

Here is the final street tune dyno graph I am running now. Lost a little bit of hp with less timing and more fuel, but it's much safer! Still made 500rwtq @ 4k!

14 Deg Timing, 11.0 AFR, 9psi.
