Default Ordered my D1SC today

this will be my first time with FI, and i'm fairly excited. The car is going to be a long and costly project, so I figure I'll get the most expensive stuff out of the way first!

Just be careful with the boost, and get a good custom tune. The most expensive part will be a new forged shortblock, not the blower. I found that out the hard way.

Speaking of FBC, make sure you have a long talk with Jeff about putting that kit on a stock bottom end. Not trying to scare you, but just hear him out.

i thought that the stock bottom could easily handle 8 or less lbs

obviously i'd have to think about beefing up the internals if i wanted to go higher than that. What boost were you running when you blew your motor?

8 lbs. But apparently, my car had problems before the supercharger was even installed. The engine bearings went.
Get a good custom tune and run good gas. You should be fine for a while.
Just be prepared for the worst case scenario.

Easily handle 8 lbs? I don't know if I'd call it easy :p I say under 6 lbs is relatively pain free. Above that and you're not in the "danger zone" but you definitely have to be careful. Are you gonna get edit?

I'm gonna have someone over at FBC tune it for me, pretty conservative too, until i get my headers/y-pipe and look into strengthening the bottom end. I want to spread out the cost as much as possible, so I figure a good conservative tune will help me stay out of trouble until i can afford to go with forged internals.
