2 step w/o transbreak question
I'm VERY new to the auto world...
I've been reading the threads about transbreaks and 2 steps working in unison, and I somewhat understand that If you have both, the transbreak will only go as high as the converter, which makes sense...
But what about just having a 2 step without the transbreak?
I have a 3200 PTC rated for 750hp for my TH400
Plans for my car/set up are pure street and little track use... Mainly a highway car, but on occasion, I would like to tango from a dig
My build:
370 with 9.2:1 without 317's
317's untouched with patriot duals
Vic Jr with elbow and ported 78mm
79# high impedance injectors with 1 255 intak and 1 inline
228/228 @.50 588/588 115LSA
KYTP with TC78 and .96A/R
TH400 with PTC3200
12 bolt with 2.73
Suspension: LCA'a for now, but I will add more accordingly as I see fit for highway racing
I'm not trying to get 10psi out of the hole, but something is better than nothing

I would think with your set up, you should be able to get some good boost with just a 2 step. I can get 3-4lb in just a couple of seconds with my yank3400. How high can you hold the car on the stall now. That is about the highest you'll be able to set the 2 step before you start to push through the brakes.

the car isn't together yet, I'm not a pro mechanic by any means, but I'm learning to do it all myself to get the knowledge for the future
The best way to find out the answer would be to just do it and see what it does I would imagine.
I just wanted to hear some personal testimony from the users
