Nitrous is the cheapest and easier way to go, but if you aint worried about money go S/C.

Is this your daily driver?
Do you have another car to drive?
What is your budget? You need to pick a number.
Putting down 500, if you're driving this thing hard, you need to plan on a rear end too.

I'd call LMR...www.latemodelracecraft.com

A 100 shot wet kit is pretty reliable and requires minimal if any tuning to get right. You could get to your goals for under $600 dollars. Once you start thinking FI you will need to come out of pocket for the kit + supporting mods like bigger injectors. I'd say $3,000 minimum.

If you want reliablility, be ready to upgrade everything. Suspension, rear, trans, engine, fuel. If its not your daily, you can beat on it until something breaks then fix it. The only problem with that is, you'll get tired of dropping money on it and working on it. Do it all at one time, and be happy. The sticker price can be shocking. haha

Im in the process of piecing together a budget turbo build, hoping to spend less than 3k on the turbo system itself. I need to make a build thread, my car goes in the garage around Sept 11 for winter :-) My goals are slightly lower, I want to keep the stock fuel system for the time being(unless I come into some extra money), so 400-450ish is reasonable for me.

With a good tune, your stock short block should last. Also, you'd have to sell your LTs, and possibly get rid of the 4:10s. That could be some more money for the turbo kit. TTi makes a great street kit. You'll have to get a fuel system as its just the hot and cold parts (FMIC, wastegate, and BOV).

seriously, you can haz another 100whp for 500 shipped to your door right now!!! lol, but as they said, a turbo is fun, but nitrous is easy, and reliable as well. to each his own.
