Default Need help picking cam

I'm getting ready to install my turbo kit and need to pick a cam. My setup consists of a stock 98 short block with arp rod bolts, 317 heads with Patriot Extreme springs, ls6 intake, 60's, UD pulley, and ebay ptk kit with turbonetics T-70 .81 a/r turbo. I have a 220/220 .581/.581 116 lsa cam that I was going to put in and a friend of mine offered me his 236/242 .580/.590 116 lsa cam. This car is not my daily driver but I do drive it often. My car is an auto and I have a VIG 3600 that still needs to be installed. Right now I'm on the stock rear with 3.23's but will be upgrading eventually. Will my friends cam be too big for a street car? I know bigger is not always better (especially with cams) but I don't want to do the install and wish I would've went bigger when it's all said and done. I'm not stuck on hp numbers like some, I just want to get my heavy vert well into the 10's and be able to drive it whenever and wherever. I know there's a wealth of knowledge on this site so I figured I was better off asking.
