Should I use turbo blankets and if so which ones? What are the pros and cons about using them?

I don't know the cons, but I know that since turbos work of thermal energy, it is best to use a blanket to help trap that energy. Not to mention the lowering of underhood temps and IAT's.

I guess it depens which seller you get them from. I have heard good and bad things about the ebay turbo blankets.

TRTT9
# Core Size, 25" X 9" X 3.5"
# 1-3" outlet and 2-2.5" inlets
# 1950 CFM flow rate
# 1300 HP efficient
# 2psi pressure drop at 1950cfm

And that's flywheel number. I have seen these work well on 600-700rwhp V8 cars, but I imagine you'll have issues over 1000rwhp. Not talking trash, just have a sneaking suspicion.

That intercooler has made its way onto several 1000+rwhp Vipers. I have no worries about its effectiveness. I geek it up and research every component I use in my builds.

Hey Josh! What do you think of Jeremy's build so far? Turbo kit looks awesome!

I want to build a single 88mm for my car...... send me an email to MStewart@WebformanceInc.com with a proposal and to go over specifics. I am sure he has discussed it with you?
