The stock setup can be a pain to get apart if you need to remove it.
I know what a t6 is.....two other posters referred to the exhuast as 5 inch....though and this one said he had the housing machined for the v band....what was it before?

So now we have contradicting information.......4 inch/5 inch v band and something else.....the internet is great.

The stock S475 T-6 with 1.36 a/r, 96mm turbine like I have is a 5" v-band.

The stock setup is a flanged pipe that fits over the housing then the clamp fits over that. You can see in the pic above how long the lip is on the housing outlet. We machined all that off that way a v band would fit.

Here is the best pic I have of it all apart.

Stock it is a 5 inch v band but we wanted to use a v band flange and not the flared pipe setup.

So far I love my S480. If I tip into the bulbs last and whack the t-brake, I'm at 8lbs by the time the pro tree drops. Been 9.01 as a best and 155.5 as a best so far with it and never been over 15psi.

I also have a S480 on my build. It's a 5" vband with the 1.32 AR and a race cover. They are a considerably large trubo housing, but if you can make them fit, they perform quite well!

How do you guys feel that the S480 compares in spool time to the larger turbos such as the S88/S91 and Garrett GT88/91.

Im looking for 750-800rwhp with a 370ci motor. I was wanting to go with the 88/91mm units so that i could have room to grow in the future, but didn't want it performing poorly at the lower power levels. The way it sounds, the S400's spool slow for their size, so maybe im just as well off with the large turbo?

A GT88 will spool very similar to a BW480.

So lets say someone was on a budget and had the largest of the S400's in mind, the S480... shooting to make 750-800rwhp on a 370.

What advantage, if any, would the GT88 give, other than the ability to make higher peak HP down the road.

What advantage, if any, would they get from the more expensive BG units such as the ST80 and SX80.

So if you had an S400-80, ST80, and SX80, how do the three compare, and what factors go into deciding which would be the best choice?

ST80 and SX80 are more $$$ since they are smaller turbine wheel units and also T4 versus the big T6. As for the power levels you are talking about all of these units would work, just depends on if you plan to grow later down the road. The GT88 VS BW480 would be the GT88 will make more power per PSI. Lets say both setups are at 18psi for example, the GT88 would make another 100hp above the 80mm BW unit at that point.

So the S400-80 will outperform the ST80 and SX80 because the S480 is a T6 vs the other two being T4? How far can an S480 really go?

I was just a bit confused, because on your website it lists both the ST80 and SX80 as being T4 or T6. It also lists the power potential higher then the budget S480.

I see people like Ninetres going bottom 9's on an ST80/370, which would definitely fufill my end goals. It made me ask the question "Why did he go with an ST80 instead of an S480".

You better, I talked to the machinest making them for the guy Zombie told me you guys were getting them from and he told me that he got jiped on the ones he made the first go around and was not making any more in small quantity.

Let me know if you do start making them, I don't think my machinist wants to make any more, he's a retired guy who does this kinda stuff for a little side money, but didn't think he would do any more for what he charged me for this one. He doesn't like machining SS.

The material isn't that hard to find online (3/4x4x6 SS flat), it just isn't very cheap. I still got over $200 in having this one built by my buddy.
