Default methanol controllers

Are the progressive controllers worth the money?

need some help here guys, ready to pull the trigger on a meth kit and the progressive controllers are another $200 or so bucks!!!

I would say they are worth it. I have the alkycontroll kit and it comes with a progressive controller. It gets its readings from the map sensor, so as it sees more boost it sprays more methanol. I would think thats better than just spraying all the methanol at once via a hobbs switch.

i dont use mine progressively so to speak. I have it come on full power at 1psi on the street.
At the track i have it come on and at full power at 5psi.....just after i leave off the tbrake.
everyone has different needs

I would think its prolly worth it, I plan to get one when I put my kit on.

Yes, you can run a bigger nozzle than if you just had an on and off switch or hobbs switch. Look around and you may be abe to find one used.

I don't have any experience with the new progessive controllers that Snow Performance now offers but I'd check those out and see what you think about them. I've got the older non-digital version of the boost referenced progressive controller and it works just fine for me. I don't remember the exact settings I currently have it set to but I know that it activates at 2psi and should be a full power around 6 or 8psi max

Some controllers come with 5v references, so you can use any sensor that is 5v.

I don't use one, and don't know that it would be worth a measureable difference in ET. Just my opinion. I have mine coming on at 4 psi via a hobbs switch.
