Default 6.0L Iron + o-rings?

I've done some research and have gotten some decent information. Just a few extra questions. I'm looking at doing an o-ring block, but not grove the heads. Is there anything different between doing o-rings on the stock 6.0L block compared to a sbc? Should you use the factory MLS gaskets? Copper? Graphite? Any addition prep needed? Thanks for the input guys.

I revived that thread a week ago and no one had anything to add. Also curious.

Andreas dropped a valve into cylinder so the legendary budget engine is broken. Anyway, The Pyramidrings kept the seal to the end. There is a LSX-build coming next...

Yeah they were $400 for a set of the rings and gaskets. You still have to get the block and heads machined still, but looks like a good alternative if you can get someone to install them correctly especially if they have never installed something of that nature.

Still they do not need the heads be machined at all, only the top of bores will need a step machined, so that rings become a part of bore and deck. The sharp edge on top of ring will penetrate into head when head is torqued down. I have info from another source that this technique will work on iron heads too.
