Time to upgrade.
Time to upgrade. What is the best single turbo to run that can support 600 horses. I am running a TTI 60 trim kit now but cant make more then 451hp with the small turbo. This is a street/strip car and i want to keep the turbo as responsive as possible.
I keep hearing about guys making 600 on 67 trims but then i have people tell me that it might make 500????? You can see why i am a little lost. I dont want to go too big since i want to keep lag down to a minimal and i dont mind spending a little more for a better turbo since i hope this one will last me a few years.

I love the 60 it is great on the street but when i started with the 60 kit i said i would never go over 500 to the wheels. Well times have changed and now its time for a little bigger.

i imagine the car is much like a 2g DSM, instant power but the turbo is way too small to make big power. you could always try a Mp-70 and see but i personally wouldnt go under a 76mm for a 346. they seem to be matched very well. wait til you want 600, then 700, hmm close to 800... it never stops lol

Verdad Gallardo go with a turbonetics tc-78 with ball bearings if you can swing it ($1499). the BB will give you a quicker spool but be able to give you the room to grow. otherwise id go with a journal bearing TC-76 ($999). forced inductions has both. how much you looking to get out of the car powerwise?
I would like her to be able to support 600 on a forged bottom end. The end goal is to put the car into the mid 10s. Right now she is running low 11s with the 60 trim and stock bottom.

Do you still have the 2" charge pipes? The 60-1 from Turbonetics? TTi was selling the street kits with HiFi 60s which had the 2.75" compressor inlet and the 2" outlet - not exactly a 60-1. Mine fell over at 460/550 rw at 12psi. Anything higher in boost just made heat. I've just upgraded to a 67mm and need to work out 1 issue before hammering it. I can tell you the slight difference in lag makes it more managable on the street but pulls much harder with 5 psi less boost on the top end. Feels at least 50 rwhp better.....I'll max out the 2-bar speed density tune this week and let you know how it goes.

My transmission and rear end should be able to handle well over 700 horses with no issue but i like being well on the safe side so i plan on over building the engine a little bit as well and if later down the road i want to go a little higher i have some breathing room.
