Greddy Profec BII here. Works good and fits in the dash well if you've got a camaro.

Eboost2 is a great controller that once setup, only needs 1 mode changed to get the boost up or down. The beauty is, it has so many features and capabilities that it could be the last controller you would ever need, and will grow with you.
I have a new one for sale here.

EBoost II hands down.

Does everything an AMS will do (Even if running Co2)

Stay away from AEM Tru Boost.

For a newbie? I would think the manual ones for under $70 would be simplest and easiest for a beginner. Even though there are people running 8s with the manual ones

I plan on running a Hallman Manual Boost controller. The Electronic controllers are nice and all, but I think for my setup a little overkill.

I bought the AMS500 but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I have seen the AMS1000 do it's thing and it's ability to control boost is awesome. To the best of my knowledge, the AMS units are the only ones that you actually set a target boost. It does the rest. With the others that I have seen, you have to use an imaginary value that you increase or decrease until you get to the desired boost.
