Default Front mount on 67 Firebird

What do you guys think? I'm going to put a T70 on this 4.8 (6.0 heads, LS6 cam, rod bolts, underdriven) but have a 408 I planned to put a S480 on (or add another T70) but clearance may be an issue. My problem is the car sits pretty low and not sure where to run the downpipe. If I mount the turbo where the battery used to be on the passenger side, I can have the DP head out where the exhaust normally would run. I'll have to cut holes for the IC piping in the core support, no biggy, but anyone with anything similar have any recommendations? Appreciate the help guys!

Thanks man, appreciate that. =) I hope it works out well, had very good luck with my 99 Turbo TA, did the turbo setup on that too (custom rear mount). I'm stuck on turbos to say the least!

What headers are you planning on using? You should be able to run a decent size downpipe on the pass side, btw the inner fender and engine depending on manifolds.

I am running a 3.5 single down pipe over the top of the exh manifold on the pass. side. No heater box, with stock inner fenders, notched trans crossmember and notched passenger rear floorpan. Tuck it up near the driveshaft.

I have truck manifolds (non-egr style) but have to be flipped upside down with the flanges facing up since left on the right, and right on the left didn't work because the flange hits the damn upper control arm.

Its two left hand LS4 manifolds (GXP, Monte SS, etc) flipped. Another option is C6 mani's flipped up, but the pipes come up towards the hood more. The downside of the Ls4 mani's are the outlets are only 2" but since Im only looking for 600 it should be fine. Truck mani's are 2.5" outlet and people have made well over 1000 with those.

Dang, I wish I could have them flipped with the flanges down toward the front not the other way around, still kind of bummed about that.
