Default Poll: What compression are you running at +/- 800RWHP?

Hey guys! Got my fully forged shortblock in from the shop, looking to get around 800RWHP out of it. Its time to figure out heads and compression ratios. PLEASE HELP! Also, let me know if you are running turbo or centrifugal. THANKS!

Planning on running 800rwhp or so daily and 1000rwhp very rarely as my max rwhp at least with current engine, and fuel setup.
Builder recommended 9.5 if was going to run alc /meth injection and will but for now car seems to be doing fine on pump 91 or pump 94 e10. I have reasonble timing I think and not seeing really any knock retard to speak of.
Car seems still pretty zippy off boost so pretty happy with my compression choice.

I'm shooting for about 9.3 or so on my 93 octane 370ci PT88 combo.

WOW! Thanks for all the votes. I wasn't expecting the range to be so broad at that kind of HP. I was thinking of going turbo and 9.5 but now not sure if the CR is going to be low enough. I don't have E85 handy.......

I'm only at 760/760, but we specced the motor at 9.25:1 for around 14lbs and it came out like a champ.

Our local tuner here has had a few cars in that range. Prefered ratio is 9.5 to 9.7.

I'm hoping for 800 as soon as I get mine tuned.. Setup is 370ci, 9.2:1 SCR, F1procharger- boost still TBD, but probably ~15psi range +/- 1 or 2psi AFR 225's

Yes, I have an alkycontrol meth kit and am not afraid to use it lol.. How much I'll actually need still is to be determined. I'm thinking it won't really need much at all. Ideally, I'd like to get the tune done without any needed, then just spray a tad for extra cooling and higher octane just for a bit of a safety net. I definitely don't intend to supplement the fuel with it. I think the 83# injectors should be sufficient.

i think you will have to use some meth with the CR you have and the power goals you are aiming for, if you are going to b using pump fuel.

Setup was for 9.3:1, but we never verified it. Running 18-20*, 92 oct with pure meth, Alky Ctrl, 1 jet, should be a little over 800rwhp when I get the bugs worked out. The exhaust is done (see thread in External forum) and the valve springs are in the garage....
