Default k-member for turbo app

im deciding on boosting my 02 ta and just wanted to know which k-member would be best to allow for routing of the hot pipes? ive been reading that some ppl go over, many go under, and some dump before or right after. i plan on using the ebay tubing and custom intercooler kit. so far im set on the bmr turbo style member, unless one of the others allow for more room.

thanx

Ours are very roomy but do require the use of motor plates.

The turbo BMR is pricey, the regular BMR is not turbo friendly.
I have used the PA kmember with Spohn solid mounts, able to run a 5" downpipe along the block and motor mounts. I believe it is $300 for the mild steel PA, another $200 for the Spohn mounts. If you use a BMR you are stuck with stock type motor mounts.

IS there room to run a pipe beside the ac compressor with the pa racing k member? like a 2.5 in pipe on a twin setup?

My headers were up high, but here is a crappy pic showing that area. That is 5" pipe.

Its amazing how harsh people think solid mounts are. I love mine solid mounts kick *** for clearence and everything else. vee8- its hard to imagine a compressor on there what do you think?

Probably not with 5", but I am sure you could do something, and retain a/c there.
I just finished up a build on nnracing's car, he had a standard BMR with new GM mounts. I had to jack the motor off the mounts, and grind/cut the block just to fit a 3.5" through there. Then set the motor back down with the pipe laid in place, it is not coming back out easily. It was a joke, there was definitely some cussing involved. A lot of screwing around for little 3.5" pipe. In the end the motor rocks around quite a bit.
Solid mounts, are a great addition to a turbo car in my opinion. Even a street car.

Does a designated turbo K member make it easier to keep your AC?

The BMR turbo K-member is the roomiest I've seen fits 5" easy, and great quality.

I'm really happy with my BMR turbo K member, I just run a 4" DP though
