i also would like to see the ls2 pushed to over 2000hp, but personally i thing that will be very very difficult. those 4 bolt heads will lift in no time.

that is what the lsx block is for

Turley of the Ohio boys has run 7.40 with the LS2 block and by his MPH (198) is closing in on 2000hp for sure. Pretty amazing engines that the general made when the goverment did not own them!

Sorry, was just going by what I read on other posts. but i did notice yesterday someone post a link to a whole short block from them for like $4,500 with one of their like stage 1 blocks.


it does look like a very nice block.



But I gather Shawn does his own sleeves from his post.

^^^ and i didnt know shwan had the tools. hell if i had the tools i would have done it myself. so i totally under stand.

but 4500 for resleeved forged shortblock. isnt to bad( depending on what the intrnals are)

4500 only covers my crank and rods with only a few hundred left over

Mike Brown went 200+ mph on an LS2 block too. I think it was 202 to be exact, but I would have to look it up.
