It looks like I blew the PS pump seal or some ****, we were gingerly moving it out of the garage when I noticed a trail of purple fluid(RP PS fluid). I tightened up the feed line because there was some wetness around it. Tried to move it out again, then there was a noise, kinda like a pop, then PS fluid was getting spun around by the pulley. Im not sure what that issue is or what caused it. Could there have been air in the lines and the pressure popped the seal? I had filled the reservoir prior to starting it.

Got the pump off tonight. I kept the everything on just to see how normal maintenance would be like and it wasnt bad at all, had it off in about 15 minutes. Is there anyway to check to see where its leaking from?? Looks like the only weak spot would be the connections to the reservoir and the pump seal. Im really betting on the pump seal at this point.

Havent had the want to work on the car the last few days. I have a new PS pump but Im having an issue getting the pulley on. I have like an 1/8" left and the pulley is moving so much that Im beginning to get desperate. Ill take some pics of my sweet *** 1' downpipe later today or tomorrow lol. Im getting ready to buy a Borla XS muffler to put on it, Im thinking of cutting a hole in the side of the bumper and get some tips instead of just running a turndown off the muffler.

HP Tuners should be here today, and I also ordered a Textralia clutch. When my bonus from work gets here I think Ill order my ford 9" housing and third member for it. Coming together, slowly.

thats what im thinking of doing, then getting a cchrome valance ring to mount to the bumper, maybe off a 60's mustang or something. im a little worried about the heat on that plastic bumper though, and the black soot down the side of the car. ill see how urs turns out first lol

Sounds like you may have had air in your PS system since you emptied it. You may have pop the seal or one of the lines. I know on in the past on my Chevelle it would puke out fluid until all the air was released. Also I have access to a 10 ton press if you need to press on the pulley on your other pump.

PS pump is back on. I found that the steel braided line for my feed isnt secured well in the cap. Need to take it back off and redo it, figure I may as well run my new PS cooler while Im at it. Its like 12" long and I will be mounting it under the radiator support. Hp tuners is in, I just need to get this car running again and work on my wideband issue.

Also make sure to bleed your system out next time... To do this fill the fluid up to par and leave the cap off on start-up. Then you may need to add fluid once it cycles around.
