If rear mount turbo is the only turbo option, then I agree with Bob.

3rd, I agree vs the rear mount, and i have had one, plus you don't lose money on your already purchased exhaust

i had a rear mount turbo on my lsx s10 and recently moved the same turbo up front... it was a little laggier, got dirty since it was right near the road and had to have an oil return pump... but it worked really well and i didn't really have any problems with it, not sure why people are so against them here... i have no experience with prochargers and don't plan on it, i dont see anything wrong with turbos... there pretty simple

There's definitely some cons with an up front Turbo kit. If you truly need your car to be a daily driver then I really wouldn't do too many modifications to it. Adding any significant HP without really planning on all the weakpoints means you're headed for a huge disappointment. I've heard all the stories...I'm only adding a 100HP that's it and I'm done. What I like about Turbos in general is that I can control boost with an electronic controller. Hey I'm running pump gas today let's go 12 PSI only. Hey I'm at the track with C16 I'll run 20 PSI. Changing pulleys or cogs just isn't my cup of tea for flexibility. Another thing to consider is that Turbos will quiet down your free flowing exhaust. If you like the loud in your face sound then definitely go supercharger. I couldn't take the highway in mine. The drone was way too much for me. Capping the exhaust with mufflers that got her quiet lost me enough HP to make me crazy. But Turbos are definitely expensive so if you're tight on cash then you may want a blower instead. But be forewarned that once you go down this slippery slope of the MORE HP syndrome you'll be fixing the next weak link. Once all the links have been addressed then you'll need more HP. I started in 1998 November when I picked up the car and told my wife it had enough power and I didn't really need to modify it at all. March of 1999 I did heads and cam with my local friends like Z8's and ProStockJon.
Good Luck

i would defiantly go with a procharger over a the sts system.

the whole point of having a car turbocharged is to make power as efficiently as possible. and with the turbo mounted in the rear the whole point is killed.

if you need more info on why the turbocharger efficiency is lost feel free to ask.
