Default 3" downpipe on pt88?

How bad will it hurt the performance of this turbo if I were to run a 3" downpipe to an open dump? Looking at my car today Im not exactly sure if I can get a 3.5 or 4" downpipe down by the engine on either either and theres no other way other than next to the engine to rt it. I plan on running 10-15psi on the street.

Well. my t70 uses a 3" so I would imagine it would hurt performance a great deal.

You may end up fighting some excessive exhaust pressures. You better go with a 60mm wastegate to help fight over boost if you can't figure out a way to get a bigger pipe out of there.

Im going to be using twin 38s. Hopefully I can fit the 3.5" in there..its just a matter of getting in btween the engine and the mounts after that theres a TON of room.

Take a picture. I'm not familiar with what that setup looks like.

Ill have to get a picture once I put the new mounts in so you can see it with extra room....I just remembered that I ordered a new oil pan and theres going to be even more room under there. I think I might be able to get away with the 3.5" after all. now my only concern is fitting everything else in front of the turbo. I think I have a total of 17" of space from the front of the wp pulley to the end of the bumper. And im going with a 4" core i/c.

I feel if the turbine is the same size on the smallest end as the pipe and its all Madeira bends and you don't have to many turns you will see no difference

run a 4 into a 3 to wherever..and then a e-cutout with a 2.5 inch pipe or 3 inch pipe out of the 4 inch pipe and dump wherever up front you want...you can have it quiet whenever you want and then open it up and spool

Thats how my NA setup is. 3" cutout into stock exhaust. I plan on running whatever size pipe I can fit (3.5 hopefully) into a cutout into the stock exhaust.
