Back in the 9's and it isn't cold here yet.
Despite many issues trying to keep me away (including breaking down on the way), I managed to get to the track tonite.
First, I would like to thank Eric @ Palm Beach International Raceway for a night of good racing. Track was well prep'd and staff was on point with the waterbox, sweeping, prep'ing, clean ups, etc. I have been critical of the chaos that had been occuring there up until recently. Seems like they're giving Eric some leeway that he is converting into results. That place will be rocking in no time if they can maintain what they have started.
I am estimating boost because every time that I would launch the car the damn datalogger would disconnect so I didn't get ANY data. That sucked!
Ended up running a 9.98 @ 137 w/ a 1.45 60' at about 10-11 psi. I forgot that I had turned the 2 step down to 3500 RPM because it wasn't hooking the last time out.
I wanted to make another pass with the launch RPM back at 3900 but a friend noticed that I had started showing cord on the passenger side front skinny (was not aligned for a long time). That ended the 100+ MPH passes for me for the night. Because the track was working so well for me, I still had to try the higher launch point. There was a guy with his cam corder and he was kind enough to capture this last launch. It was nice. I gave him my email so I hope to see it soon. I will post it then.
Unfortunately, I rolled thru the beam while getting up on the tbrake so I didnt get an accurate time (4.0 something 60' FTL ). Buttometer puts it at a 1.33-1.35 which should have converted to a 9.6x if I ran it out. Maybe next time.
EDIT: It was a 9.98 not a 9.8.

I'm trying but the ******* datalogger wont stay on. Not sure if its the usb port on the laptop, the cable or the port on the HPTuners box but everytime that I would launch, it would loose connection. First 2 passes were worthless as I didn't look at the wideband (thinking that I was capturing data). On the third pass I saw that I was really rich. Like 10.5:1. Leaned it out a little in that area and made the 4th pass. It was 10.9:1-11.0 at the top of 3rd. I still need to pull a little more fuel. I got the timing set flat at 16* everywhere right now. Haven't even started playing with that yet. Just being real safe on pump gas. It has tons left without even turning up the boost. I picked up 1 mph by leaning it out 0.4 or so and I have another .5 to go before I start pulling plugs.

I like this power level for my low boost setting. I am limited by the stock PCM to 15 psi for fueling. I wont be able to push beyond that without either faking out the VE table, switching to a newer 99+ PCM or switching to a different engine management system all together. I hope to eventually push it to 8.9's on this turbo and then do the 91mm upgrade that Dr.Turbo is offering for the PT88.
I need to make this motor last so I will spend most of the time at around this boost level on pump gas. Then every now and again, I'll put in race gas and turn it up.

I hope that everything works out for you...
Do you have a set time you are trying to run?..
Your sig pic looks awesome, but you know whats funny, is after seeing it about 100 times, I just noticed the red out house in the background...LOL

Funny thing about that picture is that it isn't actually a picture of my car. My friend Joe's car was parked on the same angle in front of me and he was in the center of the shot and occupied most of the photo. My car looked so good that I cropped him out and blew mine up as much as possible and use it as my sig pic. Those are the Staging lanes at PBIR, hence the port-o-let in the background.
That's the turbo I'm running. That's about where I was on boost also. I can be sure because I didn't get any data.

Then dust off that turbo kit you got buried in the garage and get to it.
