I started mine in my g35, went with an iron block, fully built th400, bw s475, going with a solid rear end also. Read your build when you first did the ls2 back on my350, which is what made me want go lsx.

did you use stainless or mild steel for the v-band flanges that are welded to the cast manifolds? Care to share the process? did you heat the manifolds before and after the welding??

i'm just curious, i'm in the process of laying out the the turbo kit for my lq4 240sx.

Wow, what a cool combination. Should be a rocket once you get er done. I like the v-bands on the truck manifolds. They look like a factory piece once done. Keep up the good work!!

heres the cross over almost finished. Since I have solid mounts we ended up mounting the flange to the side of the frame rail and putting 2 flex sections in this sunday.

Yeah last time I went was a disaster...couldn't keep the car straight. Finally took a look under there and the diff is crooked and the bolts holding it in are bent..I guess I launched it a little too hard for the factory stuff haha...also explains the wheel hop.

haha highly unlikely. Magnafuel fuel pump, 83#injectors, and a lot of boost doesnt really equate to good gas mileage..esp since I have a heavy foot.

Snyper howd you weld on those manifolds? are they cast iron or aftermarket steel pieces? ive been reaserching how to do just that with the welds bieng reliable over time but the general consensus is its just not plausable, assuming theyre iron.

Cast iron and used mild steel on the vbands. Pre heat the cast iron, weld the flange on inside and out then stick the whole piece into a box of sand to let it cool slowly. Also, my turbo is mounted to the side of the car and im adding flex sections to both cross over primaries so there will be absolutely no strain on the flanges at all.

Fuel setup is just about complete. Heres my fuel bucket masterpiece(about 6 hours worth of work. I can now use an external single pump with the saddle tanks.

-10an fuel line to feed the pump, -6an return

5/8 stainless pipe which will serve as the fuel pickup welded to the -10. I used teflon washers and some sealant to prevent leaks

The pipe doesn't quite go to the bottom because the bucket compresses in the tank. I had to cut all of the inside of the bucket away to get that to fit in there.

Heres the lexus venturi piece(thanks to SP for the idea) far right goes to return line and as the fuel enters there it comes out the middle(into the bucket) and sucks from the far left hose(which goes to the other side of the tank)

And thats it all done.

I like the V bands on the cast manifolds. This is the second time I've seen someone do this. I'd like to have this done on the manifolds I am going to be using in my 93 eventually. I think it looks way better and is easier to work on. I hate those 3 studs.
