I guess you would need to have a twin idler set up similar to what I have seen with the D1SC posted here. I am also in the same boat. I will probably never get to do it, but I like to know which direction I am dreaming in .

We've had several customers use our cog kit with manual transmissions. so far no problems that I have heard of. There is a guy who use to work at ProCharger who has a cog kit on his LT1 with a ProCharger and a manual transmission without any problems. My own Camaro with it's powerglide was backpedaled many times last year at a wheelstand contest, and we did not having any problems with the cog belt. Bob

Because we don't see the point of using less cubes.

Well there are alot of T4 or "88" mm max turbo size car classes out there and a 302 cube motor would produce much closer to an optimal but fairytale like 1:1 backpressure to boost ratio. Plus you could spin it to 9,000 rpms and put a tall gear (for a turbo aplication) and make insane HP, because you don't see the point in it doesn't mean it's wrong. think about the 1,000 hp qualifying 4 cylinder in an F1 car... They just spin em too the moon so they pump the air a bigger motor can at normal RPM and the turbos make up for it all...

Formula One cars are normally aspirated.

But they do have very small displacement and insane rpms.

On a 3500-4000lb street car the short stroke motor is no cheaper to build and there is not much useable torque untill you are into boost.

Still scares me to spend all that money and have something go wrong. Guess I will just have to go turbo. Thanks.
