1" too long is the problem. He's got 4" total not 5.

have you looked at those cobra bends?
That's where we get all our ****. Darren and John FTW despite being a couple of Ford *******. It's also nice that their shop isn't really far away so we can grab extra stuff and bring back what we don't need.

That's the first thing I thought when I first held it. He's trying to reinforce it and, in theory, it shouldn't collapse without a restriction upstream. There will be no filter at the track.

hey, john has seen the light. He is doing that zephyr with a 5.3

also, you guys could get REAL creative and make a super-tight 4" bend, and always run pre-compressor meth injection as well to bring temps down

I'll believe it when I see it. LOL

No meth injection. That would just be a rig up and defeat the purpose of the A2W.

What AIT's are you seeing at the end of a run?

On the 7.95 pass the IAT temps started at 90* (ambient was 70*) and was in the 155* range by the end of the pass.

Something's not right. I'm running less boost but the same Chisel 2000 cooler with a 5gallon tank and a 3700Rule. On a 70 ambient, I can start out at 54ish....somehow you are leaving too much starting F on the table.

When do you turn the pump on? Right after the burnout works best for me.

Do you precool it in the pit?

I end around 90-100...but that's more boost related and is not comparable to your set-up.

You're probably not sucking in 150*+ air from behind your radiator either. That's what we have been talking about here for the last few posts. We are going back out tomorrow night to see if the cold air intake setup works. We are hoping to drop charge temps by 50*.

My filter bolts directly to the comp housing...being right next to the turbine...I bet it's +100F inlet at the start...not +150F though...

Good luck.

Meth would bring the temps down if you can't get your filter placement better

Temps went down about 15* across the board. That's better but not as good as I hoped. We only got a few passes in before the alternator took a ****. Steve bought his own camera so the video will be up quick this time.

Any pics of how they are setup in there? I could recommend a few more ideas.

Looks good, I think the only way to bring in more air with that setup would be a WS6 hood since the openings would be right there.

only other thing I can think of, is find a way to connect oval pipe to it, and bring it right to the vents in the hood.

Or pre-compressor meth injection will REALLY bring temps down
