Tom Molnar started K1 Technologies a few years ago. He worked for Carillo for a long time, I believe designing connecting rods. With the reputation Carillo has in the racing industry, I wouldn't think twice about using K1 stuff with the same guy designing their parts.
Last I knew, K1 was part of the Dover Corporation, the same company that owns Wiseco & JE Pistons. Their components are forged overseas and finished here in the US, just like Compstar.
I'm going to run a K1 4.00" crank and H-beam rods in my new engine, shooting for ~700rwhp.

MikeP on this forum is running K1 stuff. He swears by it & his car put down 770 and was spinning on the dyno, so there is more there. It's a 383 w/ a D1 running about 13#.
I am building a 347 right now, and after MikeP's shake down, I am very confident w/ the K1 rods.

I was wondering about K1 components just last night and looking over the rotating assemblies. I am planning on building an ls3 418 stroker. I priced up a rotating assembly from texas-speed using callies compstar crank, compstar rods and wiseco pistons no balancing and no bearings and it came to 2500 bucks. Is the K1 stuff just as good and what are the prices of the rotating assembly?

My motor will be out of the machine shop this week. I went with k1 for my rods. I went 20 over on bore comp cam and aftermarket crank and the turbo is on my table lol. We will see how they last

I just bought a k1 crank and rods with summit pro ls pistons. Can't wait to try it out. Gotta have the 6.0l lq4 block machining done. Trying to find a good place near northwest indiana. Got a few more parts to buy the crank and rods bearings and c5r timing chain and Johnson lifters.
