Has anyone on here used the universal STS turbo Kit?
The price starts around $1700, Is it worth buying this kit?
I know that i have to but extra parts to make this kit work, but how much extra money am i looking at, and what are the extra parts i will have to get?

it probably comes with a small *** turbo that youll have to upgrade. Youre going to end up spending over 4k to get it right(oil pump, valve springs, pushrods, tune, etc)

If your set on a butt mount you might want to look at a larger turbo a tc 78 will take you along way. You can get a intercooler from a sponser of sleeze bay to save money. But other than that you should be good.

T78 would have alot of lag for a rear mount, dont you think?

Better off doing a FMIC setup. For a truck manifold kit you will spend what you are looking at now after all the upgrades and oops forgot about this. If you are in the service(AF) since you are in Goldsboro there has to be someone there who can help you scavage some cheap parts.

No sir the usally hit full boost by 3.5k on a six speed car. The will out spool the gts series but will not out power them. My gts 78 hits full about 3.7k my old gts 76 hit around 3.6k

Thats probably not going to happen by the time its all said and done when going to a turbo,,, But good luck to you in your turbo upgrade without spending some cash?LOL Anytime ive ever tryed saving money by not doing it right the first time ,it always cost me more in the long run LOL Just my opion now.Best setup ive seen so far for the money is the front mount using the truck manifolds and you wont have all the bullshit with the electrical scavanging pumps either with the STS setup and the giving up of your subframe connectors for the STS inlet pipes or plumbing!
