Isn't there suppose to be a support brace and shims that comes with the SDCE set up?

what would be great is if any one has taken any pics of the SDCE when they got it and had a pic of all the parts, maybe a step by step of how they put it on?? or a copy of the instructions?

The J bracket just has a hole drilled/taped to 1/2 X 13 threads/inch for the bolt going through the center of the tensioner. The big thing is just the hole placement for the belt to ride straight.

The tensioner for the s10 blazer will not be an 8 rib. So you would need to buy the tensioner, proper 8 rib pulley, 8 rib idler and get it all to work.

I just started to do this to my setup today. So far I only have the tensioner mounted and the new idler in place. Im going to try to use the idler that came with the tensioner. Its just as wide as the belt so I think as long as its spaced right it should work fine. The only thing is it might be to big. In the next few days I will make the stand off for the idler pulley on the tensioner. It dont look like its going to be all that hard to get it all done.

those are what the stand offs thread into, you take out the bolts that hold the alt. bracket on and thread those in so they are studs.

His name is "Aster" on here. Ive got his bracket and it kicks ***. Comes with a brand new bracket that is machined for the tensioner and extra bolt hole for the procharger. Comes with all the standoffs and bolts and stuff. It has insane belt wrap.

Lets say you pick up the #305201 tenstioner, a pulley, and you make a standoff of the right length. Once you drill a hole to bolt on the tensioner, if only one bolt is used to secure it to the bracket, what keeps it positioned correctly and stops it from moving?

Does the steel J bracket require that extra bracket support piece?

i was thinking that the kits did not originally come with those supports. however, i could be wrong. the kit i bought did not have one. i called SDCE and purchased one from them.

i was just on Brute speeds website and they have the Aster J bracket and not the SDCE J bracket. is the ATI main bracket/tensioner their selling on their site for $394 similar to the SDCE bracket?

i dont mean to hijack the thread but i have a P1sc head unit that im trying to peace the rest of the kit together for my camaro and im trying to figure the best and most cost effective way of doing it.
