Depending on placement of the turbo, you could run dual 3"....

That's why he should do a LSX block with a stock stroke crank. Muy bueno RPM's.

First of all. 1000 rwhp on an 18x12 tire is unhookable on the street. Period. I am making just under 800 rwhp or so on the street with a very well setup drag chassis and 325/50/15 mickey dr's and I can blow the tires off at anything under 60 mph. That means that I could boil a 18X12 at 80 mph without issue. 1000 rwhp is just unuseable on the street. So basically what you are going to end up with is a dyno queen.

Most of those supposedly 1000 rwhp cars down in Miami either don't make the power or can't get it down on the ground. What good is it if you can't put it down? I have seen many of those guys come up here and get spanked on the street or come up to the track and not be able to back up the 1000 rwhp claims. A 10 sec 1000 rwhp car is broken IMO even if it traps 160 MPH.

Last but not least, going with a 4" stroke, big cube setup is just going to add money to your build and be harder to package, specially if you want A/C. With 420+ cubes on a single, you should have a T6 flange. T6 turbo's typically have a very large footprint. You may want to look into twins if you are set on the big cubes and keeping the A/C.
Come on now, just because you cannot get your to hook dosn't mean nobody else can either. My TT SS Camaro, I drove around on a little over 900rwhp, and raced a many of times from a 30 or 40 roll and would hook every time! On NITTO"S! It is very doable to hook a 1000rwhp street car on the street, from a roll obviously. Even my new setup in the T/A will hook from a 30 roll on 15psi.

So with that in mind....if I had an 800 RWHP set-up built.....then later on is it just a turbo upgrade, new injectors and a new tune....to make more power?
If you go with a fully forged LSX Block setup with 6 bolt heads(400-427CI.)
And you had the rest of the parts to make 800rwhp only, then your motor will still be good for added HP later on. Yes, you would more than likely need larger injector's, possibly a larger turbo depending on what you started out with, re-tune, possibly a intercooler upgrade as well, depending on what you start out with as well. You may also need a different converter also, depending on what you started out with as well? This is why I say it is important to know what your ultimate HP goal is and build for that. Buying stuff twice get's expensive!

So how about a 4" stroke x 4.1" bore = 422ci Is that too big? I thought turbos liked smaller cubes.

Yeah, I've watched it too many times on a regular basis, as in every weekend for years and years. Everyone hooks from a 40-50 roll, everyone. As long as you roll into it for 2-3 seconds.
Traction is actually the least of my worries.

Just call Shawn at Va Speed. Everybody has opinions. He has multiple FAST turbo cars.

Josh at KYTP also has many fast turbo cars running around.

Talk to the guys that do this for a living.

LOL at the Nittos. I'd race you for any amount of money if you showed up on those.

Your going about this all wrong and your going to get fustrated and discouraged. DON'T parts shop, find someone who has experience with this combination and put together what they have already proven works. Experience means everything in a build like this.

You will find that its more cam, converter and rear end ratios on smaller engines that make the small cubes and a decent turbo come together-

you take those 3 things out and the only freind you have is some decent rpm which can hurt parts......................

Theirs plenty of serious guys running small cubes while making them work.

You said the exact same thing this guy said that drives this TT Cobra on a full race setup, when I was on Nitto's and stock suspension and stock 10 bolt!
Needless to say he got his feelings hurt!
