Fastest spooling....TC78, GTK1000, T78, GTM78 and ST80

Most power, ST80, GTM78, T78, TC78 and GTK would be virtually a dead heat.

DrTurbo = The man

I have never heard of the F1 trim before. Is that something proprietary to Turbonetics? Or am I really that much of a noob? lol

Determining BB vs F1 when I buy

F1 is the turbine trim.

BB stands for Ball bearing.....two different things. You can have a F-1 turbine with Ball bearing...

Would my FAST 78mm intake manifold be sufficient? Or step up to the 92? Since you guys recommended stepping up from the 3" outlet of the intercooler to 4" - that would definitely match a lot better. I am worried I'd reach the limitation of the 3" piping - anyone run into that?

Oh no I run 3 inch intercooler piping, the only differance is mine goes to a 4.5 inch elbow to a 90mm t body in wich im changing. You would see a pressure drop over the 78 but should make more power with less boost because of the less restriction. I think a trade off is lower intake temps and less strain on parts, Is it worth it? Its all up to the builder. Imho I would maximize flow to the motor from the turbo and exhaust.

What are you going to be changing? Just curious if a part or 2 might come out of that for sale

There is some really good questions and info in this thread. I check the FI section often as to learn as much as I can about turbos and rear mount set ups. Keep at it so I can learn more. Thanks

I am going to probably grab a Tubular K Member as well from BMR.. Think it will give me better clearance to run a bigger charge pipe to the front of the car (STS stock piping I believe is 2.5" and I think I'll do 3"). The way the piping is going to go to the front I will probably need a driver side SFC now too lol.
