With these Vic Jr intake manifolds - what fuel rails are being used? Can you only use the set that is provided with it? Do they even flow well? - saw them on SummitRacing was just curious

Its easiest to just run the Edlebrock rails. You can get the complete rail kit from Jeg's for $80. But it will not come with AN fittings or hose. So you will have to pick those up as well. Mine cost a total of $210 shipped for all my AN fittings, hose & quick disconnect to install my rails.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-3638/ -- is this the kit you were referring to? And is it cool if I PM you for info on the additional parts?

I am wondering if anyone still spends the time to port match manifolds? I remember spending many hours scribing port size/location and grinding material and adding epoxy to get a near perfect match between head and intake runners.

And how much time did you spend out of boost during your typical 1/4 mile pass?

I still think the fast intakes are ok options as well for maybe under 20psi boost levels. There are fair amount of cars on here running them now with a few problems reported occasionally.
I have the older fast 90 and will be going to 15 to maybe 20max psi this coming season on it. I may upgrade to the new 92 fast not sure yet.

I did a few extra things ,drilled and tapped my fast for vacuum line and moved my map off of it. And use some rtv between the shells in addition to fast gaskets. Also loctite on the hardware connecting the shells. I am a bit worried about the blow out discs that installed for my nitrous see how that works out. So far have had no troubles at all but have not gone past 8psi.
I wanted a nice streetable powerband since my car is 99% street and also fast is great for direct port nitrous option which am using. Small shots of nitrous can work well with turbos giving instant spool up and supercooling effect. I think if didn't run the fast or direct port would run the ls6 as best bang for the buck and could still use nozzle type spray. The direct port was more for car show and intimidation reasons anyway.

I asked this question to Richard at West Coast Racing Cylinder Heads and he told me it wasn't critical. He could CNC port match my Vic jr to my heads but said I didn't need to waste the money with FI
