blower cam
Good luck to you bro, I dont care about impressive track times, Good et's at the track is not having 900 + HP is all suspension and traction, the times your running with 800-900+ Hp i got friends that do that in 700 HP cars. And using smaller 223/228 cams.
I been there done that to, been around a Lot Vettes , with big stupid cams that lope, run rough, stink, run, rich , everything i dont want.
my little 215/230 .601-.575 116 cam made 740 RWHP with only 15 psi , and thats through a small FLP 2.5" Y pipe feeding into a single 3" cat back SLP stock SS duel/duel.
i know a little about cams and FI , you dont need a lot of intake duration, the cyclinders fill fast , but a good amount of exhaust duration is a + to get it out ,
and you want no overlap , whats the sence if your just bleeding boost off through the valves.
OK i guess the ? comes down to with lets say 222/240 cam why does the wide split hurt? and if it does how? why?
and if my 215/230 cam with a 15 deg split runs/idles works perfect what the cut off of a split, meaning how much of a split is to much and Why?

Yeah i do know alot, And i sure know not to live in Alaska BRRRRRRR, LOL
anyway , to clear a few things up, i dont want to go big on the intake, its just me, maybe it works but i cant live with it, I seen to manny FI cars run the best on smaller cams, GN's, LSX cars, fords etc.
222 is the biggest,
also i dont want this to get into a track war, i dont car about track times, not impressed with cars that are usless on the street or cars that are suspose to be street cars but you never see them on the street. "Yeah i been there seen that, Been there heard that"
But i am interested in Procharged F1/F1A LS2 (364ci) cars that put down 800RWHP with a small cam that i am talking about.

Have you ever paid attention to the Renegade mustangs? 306 cubes, YSi, 3400 lbs and running 8.1's@160+. long runner intakes, 75mm TB's, and cams with 70 to 90 + degrees of overlap. Lot's of overlap and there making 30+psi of boost out of a YSi. Intake duration's sarting in the 250+.
Centri's are a different animal, the more power you can make N/A the more you'll make when you add some boost.
But it seems you already got it figured out.
800 rwhp should be a breeze.

Yeah i got it figured out!
I know i dont have a Renegade mustangs with 306 cubes, YSi, 3400 lbs and running 8.1's@160+. long runner intakes, 75mm TB's, and cams with 70 to 90 + degrees of overlap. Lot's of overlap and there making 30+psi of boost out of a YSi. Intake duration's sarting in the 250+.
Again I dont care about ET and 160 + MPH times etc. You are talking about a Race car , i am just trying to find out how much split in duration is to much and why.
I know a turbo vett running a 04 LS6/zo6 cam 211/118 .550 118 making 800RWHP at 18 PSI .
I wanted a small cam, clean running , smooth idel, good mid range and top end power.
Cams can look small on paper but act bigger, ramp rates and lobe profiles also come into play,
anyway thank you for all your help , ill figure it out, Thanks again
