Thats alot of duration unless your doing a BIG HP build, should have good top end, and be easy on valvetrain. Would be pretty good in a hot street setup with a T6 88, or 91MM.

I am a bit curious myself, I am going the same route. I was going to call SpeedInc once I am ready to buy - see if they recommend a custom grind or what..

Weird cam specs for turbo. Would usually expect to see like 232/240/580 /580/115 to maybe 117 type of thing.
I think if swap out my current cam will try similar one to the above, maybe go 232/240/600/600/117. I don't want more than 600 lift ,turbos are hard on springs and don't like changing out springs too often. I don't like lope and don't like low end surging or cams that are big pains to tune to get to run nice.
Current cam meets my needs pretty good but did use 1.8 rockers to get lift to around 590 range. My duration is pretty tame especially for a 408 engine. Bigger displacements of course can use bigger cams.
Here are my current cam specs with 1.7 rockers.
Lingenfelter GT7 208/230 .554/.546 –121CL

Usually you see normal split duration cams for FI with usually lsa above 114. Sometimes you see reverse splits and rarely do you see the lower lsas. What really would be nice is to see some mag articles with different cams and no other changes to see what effects the various ideas have. It is generally agreed though to keep the lift down so that it is easier for the springs to control things since as said boost makes it harder on the springs.
Also pure power output from a cam might be secondary over things like lope or no lope, low speed surging or no surge, etc. Some guys want a super lopey cam. Some guys can tolerate more surge and other big cam driveability issues and powerband can also sometimes take precedence over peak power numbers.

i'm putting a s88 turbo looking for 800+ at the wheels. using a 6 speed (for now) my old motor loped like crazy and i love that. with this cam will it sound more stock? would that tu3 cam be a real good cam for me? or should i got to custom grind?

I run the TU2 in my 370.
stock heads
stock pcm
and 3500 lbs.
full exhaust to the rear bumper

I grudge race the car so this is about all the detail you will get but you can see in the vid.
this cam will meet all of your needs and more!

The OP has posted a cam with 16° of overlap at .050" valve lift. I would say this is NOT a good selection for a turbo. Get that thing more like a 118° LSA with a 114° intake centerline in order to reduce the overlap and get that exhaust valve closed earlier.

Maybe the OP has posted 112° as intake centerline instead of lobe separation. That would make better sense than the way I assumed. Make this cam a 116° +4° and it should work a lot better with a turbo.

so with the lsa being 112 would it not be a good turbo cam?

whats a good place to get a turbo cam? to make crazy power but yet still lope like crazy? or is that not possible with a turbo cam?

these speed inc turbo cams have been used for years. They have a proven track record.

What else are you guys looking for?

I am certainly not doubting that - lol. I was just wondering what makes these such a unusual LSA. I am probably gonna get the TU2.. just food for thought really.
