Sure, some guys run them both. But I don't know any that do it for daily drivers. It's just more wear and tear on each pump. For the price of a $30 switch why do it? The turbo is in the rear so its easy to wire it? Why not?

2006 gto 100% stock long block, (timing is set at 10degs at wot in tell we get to the dyno) the only thing that is done to the car is slp exhaust, factory cats gutted, stock manifolds, the twin pumps, e85 fuel, ev6 80lbs injectors, AIS meth kit procharged by a f1, big red BOV, also with a waste gate to keep the boost down, on the factory 6rib belt system, all factory drive line, tuned by me and a frined via HP tunner, we are going to the dyno this sat. will give you the # on sunday
my gusse at 10 degs is mid to upper 4s

get that timing up, we are up around 23-25 at WOT right now with corn juice i think that 23-24 was the sweet spot for me. It felt rediculous and we still havent seen a blip of KR the entire time tuning.

im buying a new fuel bucket asssembly with fuel pump. Im going to leave it be as well. lol. and jsut strap the walbro to the side. Turn it on at 1psi off the hobbs and go from there.

Yes sir I am. But you are running the nectur of the gods. E85. Throw some timing at it. It will love it. Read back through this thread and read what zombie wrote about e85 tuning.

i hope so too, oh, wanted to ask you a question. Did you have any trouble getting that 3/8 injection line inside the bucket, mine seems awefully tight in there?

its good to know people have used it this way, as ive heard mixed feelings on it. Im going to leave the hobbs switch in place, only becuase its already wired and ready to roll.

Eric had suggested that the oring that sits on top my walbro might have come loose, or unseated. This makes alot of sense since i had one hell of time getting in, in the first place.

Ever since i installed it, my car never started right moments after priming it. SO it makes sense, now with pulling it out multiple times and messing with ****, and banging it around, it may have come loose, im buying a new stock pump/assembly and going to try it the way eric and 9sectruck have it, since they seem to have luck with it.

but while im waiting for it to get here, ill pull the stuff out tonight and investigate. We'll see, itll be till next week before i have any updates, thanks for the help everyone.

the craps of it all, my tuner has a new tune waiting to go in, and i cant get to him lol, in due time.

EDIT: Fuel pump assembly will be here mid week, ships on monday from about 100 miles away, God im a cheap ***! lol

the 3/8 fuel line that comes off the bottom of the inner bucket is very tight, just keep massaging it round in tell you feel like its good and not kinked,
i have another complete bucket set up like mine with twins, that im going to sell it on here at some time, as a drop in ready to go deal, just wanted to prove mine before i put it up for sale, and does great, ( my thread)

I run both Walbros all the time too. I've seen too many Hobbs switches fail.

Default Finally!!!!!

Well, I finally got it fixed, big thanks to eric and 9sectruck for telling me what to do, and eric for posting pics.

I went back to a pure stock bucket and only added the walrbo to the outside of the bucket. Works like a damn charm, heres a little start up vid after we took it for a test drive.

Pressure stayed rock solid up to 5 or 6lbs where i backed out, as the tuning needs to be redone as it is pig rich now. (when the second pump comes on)

Hopefully get back to tuning this weekend. I will likely not get on a dyno so i wont know at all how much power im making, i will however get to a track when its ready and get some numbers, i care more about the track, lol.
