Another Powerdyne question
Have an opportunity to pick up a 6psi system for about a grand. He states it only has 600 miles on it then he sold the car. I have a 2000 ls1 camaro. Do I need to change the valve springs or would I be okay with the ones I have? the car has 45000 miles on it. Not looking for 500 horse. Just a nice bump in power. It says it is all inclusive, including programmer. any advice would be helpful. Thanks. I am looking for about 400-425 horse engine.
I did see all of the post about it but It looks like most problems are when people try and modify it, is this true?
Thank you Again

I started with a Powerdyne. With a manual belt tensioner, I was seeing 5 psi. I had no problems with the head unit. It had been serviced and the internal belt replaced. First, Forget 500 HP. Maybe 400-425 is more realistic. The problem is it's ability to flow compressed air. They just don't have the ability to flow enough CFM of air. If I had it to do over, I would have gone heads and cam.

Yah but if I went with a cam I would have to change the valve springs too, and I like the quiet sound. Plus I am a little nervous about changing a cam all by myself. If I can get 100 horse, I am pretty happy with it...unless I have to change out a bunch of stuff in order to make it work.
