Yes you can but it will decrease your spool time. Alot of people run manifolds. I run Mac mids wrapped and coated all the way to the turbo.

can you? Yes

Is it optimal? No.

It is recommended to use CAST IRON manifolds, because they retain heat in the exhaust better.

but wouldnt long tubes disperse the air much better than the congestion that the stock manifolds create

The long tubes have more volume, there for you would loose air pressure to spool the turbo. You will actually lose low end power by switching to LT's. And not see any help from them in the top end. Stock manifolds work great, they are thick which keeps more heat in. Leave it the way it is it's the best you can do.
