I have 4:10s right now. Is that going to be way too big of a gear for a procharged car? Anybody else running 4:10s? I thought maybe a taller tire like a 275/60/15 would be okay? Or should I go back to 3:42s? Thanks for any input.

I like 3.42's for the street. A 3.73 might be fun for the track, but 1st and 2nd are already worthless as it is with 3.42's. The car is a monster from a roll though.

I loved my 4.10's with my d1 set-up through a 6 speed and I was making close to 630rwhp. Ran a best of 10.66 with a 28 tall tire

4.10/4.11 gears work very well with a ProCharger and a six speed, it makes the car very fun to drive, and the 6th gear overdrive ratio still gives you good highway mileage. If you ever forge the engine internals and crank the boost up, you may then want to swap to a 3.73/3.75 gear ratio. Bob

I run 3:73's because the 4:10's I had prior,I would have to shift into 5th gear thru the traps!

Bump. I am buying a fab 9 and am wondering if a 3:50 gear ratio is good? Right now I'm just a cam only car but in the future I will have a built forged 370 with a D1 or bigger procharger pushing a lot of boost. Searching for 700-800 rwhp. So... would 3:50s do me good or should I go lower/higher?

Thanks.

Doing the math, 3.73 to 3.55's should get you where u wanna go. I haven't ran my car on the track yet, but its sooooo much fun on the street, especially on the highway. Bikes get suprised when i pull away from them. i'm running a 3.73 with the rest on my sig. good luck with yours.

I've been looking for feedback, and this is exactly what I wanted to hear. I am also stuck between 3.50 or 3.73. but I think the 3.73 arent so bad for a weekend warrior. I usually do all my WOT on the highway.

You will most likely want to go 3:73's.You go with 3:50's and you will probley have gear/RPM's left on the track?

Go a little higher...I run 3.89's and love them. Car is a DD and do A LOT of highway runs. 3.73's should be nice.

4.10's here and I have a blast. I don't take it to the track at this point though, it's just a fair weather top-down car. If the track is a concern to you I'd listen to the others. If it's just for fun, you'll be fine with 4.10's. If I bust the rear I'll go to a 12 bolt or 9" and then I don't know what I'll do for ratio. Image is 6th gear.

I pretty much have my mind set on the 3:75 ratio from moser. I will be ordering my 9inch in a few weeks.

3:75 is a great all around gear ratio. Have you checked out my Moser prices that include free shipping?
Here is a link to them. http://shop.brutespeed.com/Moser-Eng...ar-Ends_c4.htm Bob

When I had the 4:10's (With the Procharger), it would hit the rev-limiter QWIK!
