Post Lingenfelter Burial Monday - Many will miss him

The Lingenfelter name is famous for Racing and outstanding Vehicle Performance work. Many who never knew him personally are still touched by his loss because of the common bond we all shared in this field.

One of the mail list members was gracious enough to post this information about John's memorial and "Home-going" services. It has a website reference for the info:

We are sad to announce that John Lingenfelter, founder of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, passed away yesterday, December 25th, 2003. John had been in a semi-comatose state since November 2002 when he entered into a coma during surgery that was necessary due to a racing accident in Pomona, California in October 2002. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering will be closed Monday December 29th so our employees may attend the services. Funeral Arrangements For John Lingenfelter

I found out yesterday and still in shock. John was a great guy and mentor.
Down to earth man, who always had time to talk. I had the privilege and honor to meet the man. Also for him to work on my car. Prayers go out to him and his family. He will be missed.
