methanol injection What is it exactly and how does it work? the camaro i bought has it on it. but i'm currently deployed and have never even laid eyes on the car. so i was just wondering i some could break it down for me.

well, methanol does a couple things, its serves as a buffer to raise octane levels and lower iats. Some people even use it for added fueling. But the main purpose is to lower iat (reduces chance for preignition) and adds octane. also reducing chance of preignition.
It is sprayed into the intake like nitrous is, through a nozzel. Thus drastically reducing IATs and increasing octane level. You may see some people using a mix of water and meth. but i would venture to say most just spray pure methanol

hope to have helped you. My IAT's went from 80 something to high 30 degree temps with methanol. You can add timing and make more power a little safer. Like said earlier, it raises your octane rating helping to keep knock retard/pinging down. A very good add to any FI car or even high comp N/A setups. I believe with 91 octane (usual on pump here) its around 108/109 (pure meth)

i made 50 more wheel hp with the meths help and some retuning. good stuff boosted cars love it

You can use windshield washer fluid concentrate. My kit is currently set up to kick on a 2psi of boost. You can run it off of any 5v reference as well. (maf or map or even tps I believe)
