Default ebay intercooler ?

im piecing together a p1sc kit for my camaro and this week i want to order the intercooler and a lot of people have recommended the ebay intercoolers as good for the money, i went on there a few times but there are so many. can someone post up a link with a pic and/or dimensions for the right intercooler to support up to 750rwhp (room to grow)?
where should the inlet outlets be located ie top or bottom?
thanks

Im going e85 with no intercooler.

saw a dyno graph, they went from intercooled/race gas to non-intercooled/e98 and picked up 100rwhp.

I would keep your IC...e85 doesnt come close to equalling e98

it will still make more power than any other pump gas intercooled. those ebay intercoolers take around 3psi to cool 20psi worth of air = lots of power being given up. and thats not taking into account that e85 will make 5% more power than pump gas.

to op, sorry for hijacking your thread.

guy on TTF tested this on his mustang. Took his ebay IC off, and gained 1 psi.

I just plan on running an a2w and it'll be fine

I put a Ebay intercooler on my buddies camaro. It was a 31x12x3 with 3" inlet/outlet. The intercooler with piping was $200 to my door. It works great, 465hp & 552lbt to the wheels with stock LS1 and 8Lbs.
You want bottom inlet/outlet. Heres the one we used.

Pics from the install? Did that kit bolt right up with what was pictured with no other mods?

I used to run a 4" ebay unit. Woked great until I exceeded the power it was really designed for.

IMO the most cost effective approach and system is the ATI 4 inch system if you can find one used. According to Bob at EPP a 4 inch will handle up to 750 rwhp. Whether or not your P1 can make that much power is borderline.

Trust made 700 + with a 4 inch ATI system.

Most FMIC kits are in the $800 range and more if you you go with stainless or aluminum piping (you will get rust on the inside of steel pipe if you use plain metal piping because it is very difficult and expensive to coat inside).

Plus with an FMIC kit you have to hack your front bumpers (the metal one to mount the FMIC and the plastic one to get air through the grill area).

I installed an FMIC kit and removed my 3 1/2 inch. IMO a big mistake considering all of the money I spent on the FMIC after building custom aluminum piping. I could have spent the money for the FMIC more effectively by simply adding a $500 methanol kit to reduce elevated IAT's in the summer time.

I didnt take any pictures of the install. But I did make some mods. I removed the windshield washer solvent bottle, and cut out a section of the bumper bar and fab up some brackets and installed it between the the bumper bar. It was a tight fit a little tall. Barely fit in the bumper cover.

Then why not reference the IM for boost? That way it will make up for any psi loss through the IC. Thats what Im doing.

Somehow lots of people never understand this and they think they are lossing power lol. Its along the same lines of the guys who argue hp/liter......ricers.

The only thing it might do is add a bit of heat pre-intercooler.......but nothing to be concerned with unless your turbo is approaching its limits, or is too small for your set-up.
