Default Sound Right???

Right now I am running a TTI 60 trim kit and have found the kit to be overall a very easy, fun, and reliable set up. The only real draw back is the kit lacks the ability to make any real power and tends to generate a lot of heat even at 450rwhp the turbo is just maxed out.

To help resolve this issue I want to swap the 60 out with a TC66 and a ECP intercooler that is much larger the the small TTI street kit cooler that was designed to keep the AC condenser in place. I also figured that I would go ahead and upgrade to a LS6 manifold and a better TB since I have been neglecting it for some time. I should note that this is a stock bottom LS1 with a built 4L60 and 12 bolt. My goal may be a little high but I would like to make close to 500 at the wheels on the new set up.

I would call Nick or George at TTI and talk to them, great guys and they would be able to point you in the right direction.

I'm not sure you would need to replace the intercooler if your only looking for 500rwhp but I would talk to them first.

The TTI intercooler that comes on the street kit is crap. I have had IAT issues with it in the past. That intercooler was never made to make more then 400-450 rwhp. The Air to water kit they use on there race kit is a hole diffrent story now.

If you push a small turbo hard you'll also get high iat's. The street kit could use a upgrade or methanol.

I am running meth now as a safty net but since its a street car i worry about running the tank low and i have to make sure its filled on days that i drive the car. It just seams like a smart upgrade to help keep the IAT's happy and leave room for future upgrades.

I am still getting mixed responses on the turbo size however. Some guys are telling me to go TC66 as the 72 will be too much turbo on a stock bottom end. But if i am not mistaken TTI runs a 76 on one of there street kits so i am just about lost.

My opinion is to try and configure a larger turbo maybe with a smaller turbine a/r. It's cheaper to buy a new turbine housing than another turbo if you want to go bigger later. I can tell you the TC76 is a nice turbo. Maybe talk to Forced Inductions and get their recommendation.

My tuner/builder was telling me that te TC66 might be a better option. But from what i understand the TC66 and the TC72 are the exact same size on the out side so space would not be a issue.

After talking with TTI and forcedinduction the TC72 with .96 AR seams to be what every one is leaning towards.

If you can modify the exhaust I would fit a tangential exhaust housing turbo on the car and that will help back pressure and hp/tq numbers.
