Default 402 compression before blower?

i'm puttin a forged iron 402 in my camaro but i'll be running it n/a until i get the blower on it. my question is how much will the compression ratio go up when i run the blower at 14-16lbs? originally i was going to build the engine to run 9.5 to 1 but if the blower makes it come up passed 10 to 1 i might think about 8 to 1 or 8.5 to 1 so i can keep it under 10 to 1, i really don't want to run race gas all the time. if someone could help with input that'd be great. the blower it a harrop HTV2300

Static compression is not effected by forced induction.

You might consider getting a copy of Corky Bell's book 'Supercharged!'. It will answer that question and a lot of others as you get in to the FI game. The $20 for the book could save you a bundle in your build.

Check out all the builds on this page. We built the engines based around a 9.5/1 (or close to it) compression ratio. Going with any less compression will generally make the engine a dog down low. Bob

Check amazon, new & used copies for $16.95. Even 34.95 is cheap - if you learn the stuff you will not be at the mercy of builders, 'tuners' and carb-trained fools.
