I took the pcv system off a long time ago and just put a breather where the cap goes. After the turbo I started getting a lot of oil residue on my hood and coil packs so I put a catch can system on it. Now the catch can seems like it fills with oil after just a couple of hours of beating on the car and makes a pretty good mess under the head light. What do I need do I need to change? Location of the can? I copied a friends setup he has on his n/a 408 apparently it doesn't work the same with boost.



On most of the diagrams I have looked at people are using vacuum points from the intake and the inlet of the turbo. They are pulling a vacuum on the crank case where mine is just venting to atmosphere. Do the vacuum style catch cans fill up with oil quickly?

This is how I have my catch can, I get very little oil in my can.

 

So I'm guessing the valley cover doesn't work as well as the valve covers? What would cause it to fill with oil so quickly?

 

Vent each valve cover to the can with a breather.

I don't have a ls6 vally cover or I would have vented that too. The 2 hose barbs in my home made can is for both rocker covers.
