Default TEA 220cc 'Turbo Heads'

has anybody got any info on these heads? they are priced pretty well. how do they compare to say a afr ?

this is from speedinc website

TEA takes Trick Flow 220 cast cylinder head to new levels by adding 1.450" diameter high rate hydraulic roller dual springs for best valve control under boost, titanium retainers, CNC machined combustion chambers. Intake and Exhaust ports are hand ported. Stainless steel valves with option for special alloy exhaust valve. Thicker .600" deck for best clamping.

These heads are designed to be used with engines sizes 364-418ci.

thanks guys

they are pretty good midrange setup...best (IMO) would be a PI head

if you plan on pushing hard...get the upgraded (inconel) exhaust valve option.

PI is Performance Inductions. Cary (a member here) took over ET Performance and improved on their head design and now almost all the top dog LS guys run his heads. It seems like it used to be All Pro but now PI is the top dog LS head. The only downside is that with the monster performance come a formidable price tag. Even though in the whole cost vs performance ratio the cost is well worth it because from what I've seen they work great.

Cary didn't take over ET...he just bought rights to the design.

I believe the ohio boys are still running the All Pros...but most of the eastern guys are running PI and/or ETP. My new setup will have "vintage" ETP 265s

1400 is probably more than my motor will ever see so I think these heads may be the ticket.

They sound interesting and the price is decent depending on what springs are in them. I was going to do something really similar as I already have a set of AFR8000, 1.550 diameter springs, open the chambers, and sell the dual springs they come with.
